Who is Ed Blondin?

Ed Blondin

Garden Designer Ed Blondin is a Master Gardener with horticultural training from Michigan State University. He has worked with homeowners and corporate clients in southeast Michigan for more than 30 years.

Ed's goal is to introduce you to an elegant, comfortable, engaging outdoor lifestyle.

"Every person should dedicate a corner of his or her garden as a personal sanctuary," Ed says. "We can explore whether that corner is for entertaining or meditation...or self indulgence. Once we have created your plan, the Hortulus Gardens team will see that it's installed and maintained.

Your garden should be your 'Ahhh haa' backdrop for entertaining or just slipping away. It does NOT need to be expensive. It just needs to be yours."

It's not too early to start thinking about next spring.

Get in on the hottest trend in gardening: the vertical landscape.

Salad BarInstead of going to the garden for your salad, simply wheel the garden to the table in a 3.5' x 4' planted Salad Bar (that's 7 sq. feet of planted space!).

Planter benchesAfternoon BBQ followed by an evening cocktail party? Fine. Just roll your cedar planter benches into your new configuration. Put your herbs on your south facing wall and free up that space for the grill or additional seating.

Today's table arrangements/centerpieces are more than a vase of flowers, they are conversation starters! Explore table-scapes of miniature faerey gardens, elegant Alpine Gardens or vivid Succulent Wreaths (which you can later hang on the wall!).
